Corrosion Under Insulation Inspection Specialty

 The Coatings Inspector Program corrosion under insulation (CUI) specialty is designed for those wanting more specialized training in inspection for CUI. This specialty is an enhancement to your current Basic Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 1), Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 2), or Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 3) certification. Requirements for obtaining the specialty include completing the Corrosion Under Insulation Course successfully along with the required exams.

    Successful completion of the Ethics for the Corrosion Professional course or an equivalent training

  3. Take required exams

    Corrosion Under Insulation Exam (delivered via Examity)

    Note: Exam retakes can be purchased in our store if desired

Certification candidates have four (4) years to complete all requirements, including successful completion of the exam, and an approved application with the required work experience and education requirements.

Renewal requirements

Recertification will coincide with your Coatings Inspector Program (CIP) recertification every 3 years.
