Award Nominations

Each award has specific criteria for nominations. Please see the listing below of acceptable means of nomination. To submit an award only one requirement as listed must be met.

Nominations for the awards listed above may be made by one of the following:

  1. Any three (3) members of NACE in good standing. (The nomination must bear the signatures of the three [3] members but is submitted by one [1] of the signers.)
  2. Past recipients of the award may submit one (1) name
  3. A section or area through action of its Board
  4. The Executive Committee or Board of Directors
  5. A technical committee, activity committee or committee of the Board

Distinguished Organization Award

Nominations for the Distinguished Organization Award may be made by one of the following:

  1. From any individual, organization, or company
  2. The Distinguished Organization Award Subcommittee

NACE Fellow Honor

Nominations for the NACE Fellow may be made by one of the following:

  1. Any three (3) members of NACE in good standing
  2. An area or section
  3. An activity committee of the Association
  4. Any NACE Fellow

H.H. Uhlig Award

Nominations for the H.H. Uhlig Award may be made by one or more of the following: 

  1. Any three (3) members of NACE in good standing
  2. An area or section through action of its Board
  3. An individual may nominate him/herself
  4. A past recipient of the award
  5. A senior academic administrator at the nominee's institution

CORROSION Best Paper Award

Nominations for the CORROSION Best Paper Award may be made by one or more of the following: 

  1. Any three (3) members of NACE in good standing
  2. Each past recipient of this award
  3. A member of the CORROSION Editorial Board
  4. An area or section
  5. A technical committee, activity committee, or committee of the board
  6. The NACE Executive Committee or Board of Directors

A.B. Campbell Award

Nominations for the  A.B. Campbell Award may be made by one or more of the following:

  1. Any three (3) members of NACE in good standing
  2. A past recipient of the award
  3. An area or section
  4. A technical committee, activity committee, or committee of the board
  5. The NACE Executive Committee or Board of Directors
  6. An eligible young author

Deadline for All Association Award Nominations is June 30.

Nominations received after this date will be considered the next year. All nominations received by the deadline will be considered by the appropriate Selection Subcommittee. Successful award nominations will be presented at the next Annual Conference. Unsuccessful nominations will be carried over to the next year with the exception of the Campbell, Distinguished Service, and Technical Achievement Awards. These awards are based on current annual activity.

Nominations are to be sent directly to NACE Headquarters to the attention of the Awards Committee Staff Liaison who will forward copies to the appropriate Selection Subcommittee Chair. Nominations that are not submitted on the proper NACE forms with the appropriate information for the specific award will not be accepted.
