Robotics in the Corrosion Industry

Corrosion in Robotics

Robotic Capabilities for Surface Preparation, Integrity and Corrosion Management

This two-day seminar, entitled Robotic Capabilities for Surface Preparation, Integrity Management, and Corrosion Management, features thought leaders from the energy, technological, manufacturing, and engineering sectors, who will discuss various robotic technologies available to perform physical tasks and conduct inspections remotely.

Many industries, particularly the oil and gas industry, are moving towards unmanned technical solutions in order to reduce the safety risks inherent with direct human intervention. Integrating drones, crawler robots, and remotely operated vehicles (ROV) into an asset integrity maintenance program can reduce the number of CSE’s (confined space entries/permits/hazards) and work performed at heights. Learn about which robotics technologies are currently available in the market and gain insight as to how they can reduce safety risks and lower operations expenses.
